HiSilicon adopts SpringSoft’s verification enhancement and custom IC design solutions

HSINCHU, TAIWAN: SpringSoft Inc., a global supplier of specialized IC design software, announced that HiSilicon Technologies Co. Ltd, a provider of ASICs and solutions for communication network and digital media and a subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, has extended the terms of its comprehensive agreement for the Verdi Automated Debug System, Laker Custom Layout Automation System, and Siloti Visibility Automation System.

HiSilicon ASICs are widely used in over 100 countries and regions around the world, including its comprehensive portfolio of communication chipsets and digital media SoC solutions. Headquartered in Shenzhen, China with design divisions in Beijing, Shanghai, Silicon Valley (USA) and Sweden, HiSilicon deploys an advanced EDA design platform with leading IC design and test technologies and world-class R&D flows to deliver high quality chip solutions.

The expanded agreement enables HiSilicon Technologies to broadly deploy SpringSoft’s Verdi software as its standard debug platform and the Laker software with its schematic-driven layout flow as the preferred custom layout solution. Adoption of the Siloti software is initially targeted at high-end data communications and mobile phone chip designs to eliminate simulation overhead and improve verification throughput.
