SAN JOSE, USA: Integrated Device Technology Inc. (IDT) has announced a joint development program with Samplify Systems, a leading provider of signal compression technology, semiconductors, and solutions.
The two companies will work together to define, design and develop data transmission semiconductor products for wireless infrastructure applications using Samplify’s Prism compression technology.

Samplify’s compression technology complements IDT’s product portfolio and expands our signal chain solutions for wireless infrastructure which require the high-speed transmission of large quantities of data,” stated Dr. Ted Tewksbury president and CEO of IDT. “We are pleased to partner with Samplify to deliver compression-enabled solutions for processing, transporting and delivering digital media.”

Samplify provides the only real-time lossless and lossy compression solutions for high-speed sampled data systems. Delivering simply the bits that matter, Samplify's Prism compression technology reduces the fiber optic bandwidth requirements for wireless base stations by over 2:1, saving mobile operators significant CAPEX as they migrate to fourth generation technologies.
