SANTA CLARA, USA: MoSys Inc., a leading provider of serial chip-to-chip communications solutions that deliver unparalleled bandwidth performance for next generation networking systems and advanced system-on-chip (SoC) designs, has expanded its global presence to include an office in Shanghai, China.
MoSys has also appointed RTI Technology China Ltd (RTI), as its new manufacturer’s representative to meet MoSys’ growing need for sales and support of its Bandwidth Engine family of ICs in the region. RTI serves the communications, consumer and computer industries in the People's Republic of China (PRC) and has 12 locations throughout China and Hong Kong.

It is critical that MoSys has a strong local presence in China to serve these customers,” stated David DeMaria, VP of Business Operations for MoSys. Established in 1989, RTI is a leading manufacturer’s representative and value-added reseller serving the network infrastructure, cellular-phone and consumer industries. RTI has 12 locations in Hong Kong and throughout China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, Chengdu, Xian and Shenzhen, which provide application engineering services and technical support through its experienced field application engineers to high tech manufacturing firms.
MoSys’ Shanghai office will be led by Herrick Wang, China Director. Wang is responsible for driving the company’s Bandwidth Engine IC business opportunity in China. Previously, he served as sales manager for PMC-Sierra in China and was instrumental in driving significant growth for PMC at a variety of leading networking companies. Prior to PMC, Wang served as a field applications engineer and sales manager at RTI.
