AUSTIN, USA: Freescale Semiconductor announced that networking and multimedia group senior VP and GM, Lisa Su, plans to leave the company at the end of this year to pursue other opportunities.
Moving forward, Freescale will create two new strategic product groups – the Networking & Multimedia Solutions Group (NMSG) and the Automotive & Industrial Solutions Group (AISG). By aligning Freescale’s significant resources to better serve these market segments, the company will be strongly positioned to provide more highly integrated solutions to the automotive, networking, industrial and consumer markets.
The newly created NMSG product group, which includes networking, multimedia, radio frequency and cellular products, will be led by senior VP and GM, Tom Deitrich. The AISG product group, which includes microcontroller, analog and sensor products, will be led by senior VP and GM, Reza Kazerounian.
“We continue to listen to our customers and we are aligning our operations in a way that provides the best solutions to meet their needs,” said Rich Beyer, chairman and CEO. “The product groups, led by Tom and Reza, will provide the necessary level of integration and efficiency to more effectively serve our customers. I am excited to have them in these leadership roles. Separately, I want to thank Lisa for her many contributions and wish her all the best in her new endeavors.”
