Broadcom hosts IEEE Standards Association workshop in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Broadcom Corp. hosted a successful IEEE Standards Association (a globally recognized standards-setting body within the IEEE) workshop in Bangalore on March 7.

The workshop was part of an IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) outreach led by its Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) and co-ordinated with Broadcom and the India Semiconductor Association (ISA) focusing on standards and EDA/VLSI.

Broadcom employees and engineers hold leadership roles in numerous organizations and industry groups. Since 1996, Broadcom engineers have been active contributors across the wide spectrum of IEEE-SA communication standards. In addition to technical contributions, Broadcom also serves as a board member of the IEEE-SA Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) and was awarded the prestigious 2011 Corporate Award from the IEEE-SA in recognition for its outstanding contribution and leadership in IEEE standards innovation.
