Verigy celebrates 10th anniversary of V93000 SoC test platform

SEMICON West 2009, SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Verigy, a premier semiconductor test company, marked the 10th anniversary of its breakthrough V93000 system-on-chip (SOC) test platform.

Since its introduction, nearly 2,000 V93000 platforms have been installed at the world’s leading foundries, outsource assembly and test (OSAT) providers, fabless semiconductor companies and integrated device manufacturers (IDMs).

“Ten years ago, the V93000 was unveiled at SEMICON/West so it’s very fitting to celebrate here with the industry that has come to rely on this platform,” said Hans-Juergen Wagner, Vice President of SOC Test, Verigy.

“With its unique architecture and evolving set of performance capabilities, the V93000 platform has stood the test of time and continues to deliver best-in-class quality of results and lowest overall cost-of-test for our customers.”

The first V93000 platform, purchased in 1999 by STMicroelectronics, one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers, is still in use on the company’s test floor. “Verigy shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality solutions to our customers,” said Riccardo Ferrari, General Manager of the Communications Infrastructure Division, STMicroelectronics. “The V93000 continues to play a pivotal role in our overall production process as we deliver the leading-edge products our customers count on.”
