MediaTek powers Lenovo VIBE X2 with LTE True Octa-core SoC

TAIWAN: MediaTek and Lenovo announced the launch of VIBE X2, powered by the LTE True Octa-core SoC MT6595.

The launch of Lenovo’s MediaTek-powered smartphone proves MediaTek’s long-standing commitment to building an inclusive ecosystem and to making high-quality devices accessible to everyone to drive global 4G LTE adoption.

Sitting at the premium end of Lenovo’s device range, the VIBE X2 is made to cater to the modern multi-layered lifestyle, as reflected in the design. The first two layers are made up of its colorful cases and click-on accessories respectively, and the layer at the heart of the phone refers to the MT6595 encased within.

As with all other MediaTek True Octa-core SoCs, the MT6595 is capable of running on all eight cores concurrently and comes with MediaTek’s proprietary CorePilot technology, which delivers exceptional performance as well as battery and thermal efficiency. Its multimedia capabilities include H.265 Ultra HD (4K2K) video recording and playback, 480fps Super Slow Motion, ClearMotion and industry-leading face beautification technology.

The MT6595-powered VIBE X2 validates MediaTek’s LTE platform as a high-quality solution and provides consumers with an additional LTE-enabled smartphone option that exudes superiority with its layered design and powerful True Octa-core SoC.
