FREMONT, USA: DCG Systems, Inc. the leading provider of semiconductor debug and characterization solutions for the semiconductor industry, has established a fully owned subsidiary in HwaSung-Si, South Korea. DCG Korea Ltd assumes direct responsibility for all DCG Systems product sales and services for our Korean customers.
With South Korea's semiconductor industry booming, demand for circuit edit, circuit analysis, yield enhancement and failure analysis systems in this country is growing exponentially. While DCG Systems had provided support for its Korean customers through its partner, Neosem Inc., the new facility enables DCG Systems to better respond to customer needs.
With the establishment of DCG Korea, DCG Systems now operates directly in five different Asian regions, home to the world's greatest concentration of semiconductor manufacturing. Other locations in Asia include Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore as well as operating in China through Spirox Corporation. DCG Systems will continue to provide its customers with world-class support and service. Our direct operation in Korea allows us to focus on providing DCG's yield learning solutions to efficiently support our customers' success in addressing leading-edge technology requirements.
"The Korean semiconductor industry is a leader in many segments of the IC manufacturing supply chain and is expanding their leadership into new areas including foundry services," stated Dr. Israel Niv, CEO of DCG Systems. "As DCG grows its business and extends its technological leadership, a closer presence to key customers in Korea became important to our mutual success. I am confident that our customers will benefit from stronger local service and support by our direct team in Korea."
"With four systems shipped in 2011 and seven shipping this year, having a direct sales and support office in Korea was a natural decision for us," said Tam Anayama, VP, Field Operations of DCG Systems.
