New chip for energy measurement out this Tuesday!

This is breaking news stuff, I guess, folks! :)

I have received advance notice of a new chip for energy measurement in home and enterprise applications. It will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday, May 12) by a leading semiconductor company.

The chip enables power measurement for both home automation applications and outlet and power supply monitoring in the enterprise network.

The chip is targeted for use by OEMs of home appliances and home automation products, as well as enterprise OEMs. It helps end users gain a better understanding of the power they are consuming.
