INDIA: Texas Instruments (TI) will host the TI India Educator’s Conference aimed at bringing together professionals, academicians and students from engineering colleges across the country.
Taking place on April 4-5, 2013 at the Bangalore NIMHANS Convention Centre, the conference will provide a platform for learning and knowledge sharing through project demonstrations, paper presentations and invited talks by experts.
The conference will be inaugurated on April 4th by Steve Lyle, director, Diversity & Workforce Development, TI, in the presence of Brad Ruzicka, Worldwide University Marketing manager and Dr. Biswadip (Bobby) Mitra, president and managing director, TI India.
In a first of its kind initiative by the TI India University Relations Team, the conference is open to professionals, educators and students from all branches of engineering. Over 60 technical papers and 30 poser papers will be presented in four tracks running in parallel through both the days. The agenda also includes a post-conference Tutorial program scheduled for the following two days - April 6 and 7, which will feature six tutorials running in parallel.
“We are already associated with over 800 engineering colleges in India where we have set up TI labs to help the students to work on TI technology and get familiarized with our products. Many universities have also included TI technology in their curricula,” said Dr. C P Ravikumar, Technical director - University Relations, TI India.
“The forthcoming conference will help us to showcase many of the products developed by students themselves using TI technology. Students and professors will also present technical papers during the conference. While encouraging the spirit of innovation, the conference will also provide a forum for industry-academia interaction and a great learning experience.”
