BroadLight’s Helios processors deployed for new business gateway device in SK Broadband

SANTA CLARA, USA: BroadLight, the leading supplier of fiber grade processors, announced the deployment of its Helios embedded multi-core processors to be integrated with Korea’s Deonet DI-3124 Business Gateway System and to be employed by SK Broadband.

The DI-3124 is an enterprise gateway, working with a 1Gbps WAN interface. Helios embedded processors are highly integrated single chip solutions, enabling the DI-3124 to support a range of service functions, such as 1Gbps NAT routing and 16K multiple sessions, stable triple play service, QoS and security and easy system management via SNMP and Web GUI.

“We are pleased to provide the Korean construction fields and SK broadband market with a business gateway solution such as the DI-3124 that fully supports the networking requirements,” said Daniel Oh, CEO of Deonet. “The use of BroadLight’s embedded multi-core processor family is extremely suitable for the CPE market and its wide applications range.”

“BroadLight’s high performance Helios processors are highly suitable for a leading Korean CPE supplier, such as Deonet,” added Raanan Gewirtzman, CEO of BroadLight. “Deonet leverages their success in GPON to enter into adjacent CPE products in SK broadband network.”
