Plasma-Therm employee recognized by Gov. Scott

USA: On February 28th, 2013, Plasma-Therm was chosen to host a press conference for Governor Rick Scott to highlight his commitment to eliminate sales taxes for investments on manufacturing equipment.

This commitment is a part of his Building Up Florida Manufacturing Jobs proposal, which will help small manufacturers in Florida grow and increase employment. During the Governor’s visit, Phil Baker, Plasma-Therm’s manufacutring manager, was recognized for his commitment and advancement at Plasma-Therm.

Phil Baker has been with Plasma-Therm for over five years. He started as an Assembly Tech and after four promotions, became the Manufacturing Manager. While Phil was making a career for himself
at Plasma-Therm, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering. Phil’s nickname at Plasma-Therm is “Secret Agent Man” because once he receives an order and accepts the mission, he quietly gets it done. Phil is the epitome of a dedicated worker and manager. The amazing attitude possesed by Phil and his manufacutring team has been a contributing factor in Plasma-Therm’s growth and success in Florida.

In response to the Governor’s recognition, he said: “It was an honor receiving recognition from Governor Scott for the job that I do. He said that I always find a way to get the job done. The only way I accomplish this is with the help and support from everyone at Plasma-Therm.”
