Presto Engineering selects LTX-Credence X-series for deployment at European test hub

SAN JOSE, USA & GRENOBLE, FRANCE: Presto Engineering, a leader in integrated test and product engineering services, and LTX-Credence Corp., a global provider of market focused, cost-optimized automatic test equipment (ATE) solutions, announced the selection of the LTX-Credence X-Series tester platform for use on customer engagements targeting the wireless communications, automotive and industrial markets.

The LTX-Credence tester was selected by Presto Engineering based on its ability to provide optimal cost of test for advanced RF wireless, power management, and application specific devices. The tester has been installed at the Presto Engineering Hub in Grenoble and is fully operational to address customer projects.

“We are seeing constant growth for RF-related integrated test and product engineering services, and in both areas, test expertise and cost-effectiveness are critical decision factors,” stated Dr. Michel Villemain, Presto Engineering founder and CEO. “The LTX-Credence X-Series solution provides us with a great combination of RF test capabilities along with fast test time, for optimal cost of test to our customers.”

The X-Series test platform offers several configurations designed to meet the low cost of test challenges for a broad range of advanced mixed signal devices. Each configuration supports a suite of DC, power, DSP, RF and digital instrumentation that can be configured to achieve the lowest cost of test for the targeted device.

“Europe is an important market for our solutions, especially for wireless, communication and automotive applications,” stated Steve Wigley, VP of marketing at LTX-Credence. “With its depth of expertise, comprehensive lab infrastructure and complete product engineering solutions, Presto Engineering is the perfect partner for jointly serving this market and our mutual customers.”

The Presto Engineering Hubs complement their wafer-level and packaged part test services with test program generation, special probe technology development for HF/RF applications, probe cards and load board development. Additionally, Hub customers can take advantage of comprehensive turn-key solutions including qualification (reliability testing for temperature, environmental and electrical stresses) both physical and electrical fault isolation and failure analysis, all the way to supply chain management.
