Broadcom transforms IP STBs into game consoles with 3DiJoy's motion-sensing technology

IRVINE, USA: Broadcom Corp. has announced support for motion-sensing video game technology from 3DiJoy Technologies that transforms a set-top box (STB) into a game console.

The Broadcom BCM7231 IP STB system-on-a-chip (SoC) solution integrates an optimized Bluetooth gaming stack to power the gestural remote for use with 3DiJoy's motion-sensing video game technology. 3DiJoy is a leading turnkey solution provider of embedded motion-sensing video game products.

This innovative STB solution revolutionizes the set-top box gaming experience, bringing high-quality motion-interactive gaming into the living room without additional hardware or wires. The BCM7231 with 3DiJoy motion-sensing support will be demonstrated at two important industry events this week: China Content Broadcasting Network (CCBN) Exhibition (booth #3501 - China International Exhibition Center, Beijing) and IP&TV World Forum (meeting room #2 – Olympia National Hall, London).
