LSI licenses SmartOps inventory and service level optimization technology

PITTSBURGH, USA: SmartOps Corp., the leading provider of enterprise class supply chain optimization solutions, announced that its Enterprise Inventory Optimization (EIO), Service Level Optimization (SLO) and Supply Chain Analytics software solutions have been licensed by LSI Corp., a leading provider of innovative silicon, systems and software technologies that enable products which seamlessly bring people, information and digital content together.

“SmartOps worked with us to evaluate our supply chain process maturity, create visibility to demand and supply variability and identify inventory reductions and service level improvements,” said Hayden Thomas, SVP of Worldwide Manufacturing Operations. “We selected SmartOps due to their extensive supply chain experience and leading edge technology solutions.”

“Companies such as LSI are looking for increased visibility into their extended supply chain and a scalable, automated method to target inventory investments to their most strategic customers and products,” said Sridhar Tayur, CEO of SmartOps. “Integrating our applications and analytic platform into LSI’s existing enterprise systems automates replenishment processes with less cash tied up in inventory.”

SmartOps enables customers to achieve both a rapid return on investment and a long-term competitive advantage by determining the best possible inventory and product availability plans given aggressive customer service goals while providing visibility to inherent uncertainties, time-varying data, multi-location and inventory stage complexities.
