EDS 2011, CHANDLER, USA: Everspin Technologies has signed five new franchise distributor agreements worldwide to meet heightened demand for its non-volatile MRAM products. This expansion in Everspin’s global distribution network is a result of the accelerated growth in the number of MRAM products the company has in production and the growth of its global customer base.
Everspin shipped its one-millionth MRAM product in third quarter 2010 and since then has more than doubled the number of units shipped. With numerous customer programs ramping to production, Everspin expects that total MRAM shipments in 2011 will exceed 3.5 million units.
“Achieving the cumulative 2 million unit shipment mark establishes Everspin’s capability to successfully ramp manufacturing of MRAM devices and the demand for high performance, infinite endurance, non-volatile memories,” said Phill LoPresti, Everspin’s president and CEO. “We expect growth to continue at the same pace in 2012 as we have secured numerous new designs and look forward to partnering with each of our new distributors to support Everspin’s rapid growth.”
Effective immediately, Everspin is expanding its distribution partner network with the addition of the following distributors that will provide sales, design support and fulfillment services for Everspin’s growing portfolio of non-volatile MRAM products.
