BroadLight announces industry's smallest and lowest power GPON processor

SANTA CLARA, USA: BroadLight, the leading supplier of Ultra-Broadband Gateway Processors and GPON Processors semiconductors, has introduced the BL2341 GPON SFU/SFP Processor, a new member of its widely deployed GPON processor family.

BL2341 is the industry's smallest and lowest power GPON processor. With a 13x13 LFBGA package and consuming less than 1 Watt, the BL2341 uses the field proven GPON software suite enabling small form factor designs.

“With the introduction of the BL2341 we are optimizing our product to support the emerging GPON market segment of small and miniature data only ONTs”, said Raanan Gewirtzman, CEO of BroadLight. “Being the GPON market leader, we continue to drive the tremendous growth in this market with cutting edge silicon and software solutions.”
