SAN DIEGO, USA: Cymer Inc., a leading supplier of light sources used by chipmakers to create advanced semiconductor chips, announced the opening of a Silicon Valley office, located in Santa Clara, Calif.
With the expansion, Cymer will have direct access to the extensive talent pool at several respected global technology companies and from the area's highly regarded universities.

Cymer's light sources are widely used by chipmakers across the globe and pattern the majority of all chips utilized in electronic devices—including computers, MP3 players, and mobile phones.
To enable the continuation of Moore's Law for several chip generations to come, the company continues to invest heavily to develop and bring to market advanced DUV and EUV light sources. Additionally, Cymer brings added value to chipmakers through offerings such as its OnPulse program that offers the newest technology enhancements combined with support from its applications experts and IT infrastructure.
