DistribuTECH 2012, IRVINE, USA: RFaxis, a fabless semiconductor company focused on innovative, next-generation Radio Frequency (RF) solutions for the wireless connectivity and cellular mobility markets, announced the launch of the RFX2411, a 2.4GHz single-chip ZigBee RF Front-end IC (RFeIC), which features a power amplifier, low noise amplifier and antenna diversity switch all in single-die CMOS process. RFaxis will unveil this new product at DistribuTECH 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.
The RFaxis RFX2411 adds to the RFaxis’ family of ZigBee/ISM products for Smart Energy, Smart Utility Network (SUN), Home Area Network (HAN), Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Industrial Control, RF4CE and 6LowPAN applications. The highly efficient RFX2411 delivers up to +21dBm of output power while packed in a miniature, ultra-thin 3x3x0.5mm QFN package.
“Our latest product release of the RFX2411 addresses our customers’ demand for increased performance and reliability of 2.4GHz wireless networks,” said Mike Neshat, chairman and CEO of RFaxis.
“As use cases for wireless control and automation continue to evolve and Quality of Service (QoS) requirements become more stringent, so does the need for wireless links with increased robustness. A dual antenna or diversity antenna system is an ideal solution for wireless systems that operate in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) indoor/outdoor environments that suffer from multipath reflections. RFX2411 was designed to address this problem and provides a perfect complementary offering to our ZigBee products along with the recently released RFX2401C.”
RFaxis will be showcasing its ZigBee and Smart Energy solutions at the DistribuTECH 2012 Conference and Exhibition, the leading annual smart grid event, in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 24-26, 2012.
