Presto announces opening of new semiconductor service hub in Israel through acquisition of ITH’s assets

SAN JOSE, USA & MIGDAL HAEMEK, ISRAEL: Presto Engineering, the leader in integrated test and product engineering services, announced the opening of its newest Hub to serve the semiconductor design community in Israel.

The company’s new Israeli Hub was established through the acquisition of the assets of ITH (Israel Test House) by Presto Engineering. Working in conjunction with the existing Presto Engineering Hubs in Silicon Valley and Europe, the new Hub offers the Israeli electronics and semiconductor community a complete selection of chip testing, reliability/stress testing and failure analysis services.

“Israel continues to be a premier market for microelectronics, especially in the area of high speed communications,” stated Dr. Michel Villemain, Presto Engineering founder and CEO. “The newest generation of networking and communication devices originating from teams in Israel, as well as local electronics activities, demands a superior level of local service. The acquisition of ITH demonstrates our commitment to invest in the Israeli market and its high-tech community.”

Victor Orland, ITH founder and CEO, commented: “ITH has been successfully serving the Israeli market for the past 16 years in the fields of testing reliability and failure analysis, partnering with Presto Engineering over the last four years. I’m glad to see that our partnership has evolved into this new Presto Engineering Hub in Israel, offering an even more comprehensive offering to Israeli customers.”

“Our goal is to offer full continuity of the existing services, by maintaining the current staff and capabilities, while updating and expanding the breadth and depth of services even further, to a new level not previously available to the Israeli customer,” said Moshe Zalcberg, VP and GM of Presto Engineering Israel.
