Sentinel IC Technologies joins Cadence Connections program

LAGUNA BEACH, USA: Sentinel IC Technologies, a leading provider of innovative, robust design enablement platforms proven to optimize and shorten the analog mixed-signal, RF, and power semiconductor design process, has joined Cadence Design Systems’ Connections program.

The Cadence Connections program focuses on enabling validated interoperability across EDA software. Joining the Connections program will allow Sentinel to further tether its Power Cell Synthesizer (“PCS”) and analog design productivity suite to the Cadence Virtuoso custom/analog design flow. Sentinel’s PCS design system significantly reduces Power Management IC (“PMIC”) RDSon and die area while its powerful analog synthesis and optimization foundation increase designer productivity, reducing time-to-market.

"We are very pleased to announce our Cadence Connections membership. To the benefit of our mutual customers, this will yield seamless design flow integration across Sentinel and Cadence tools," said Juan Cordovez, Sentinel vice president. “Designers can now tackle complex PMIC designs without the costs, obstacles, and risks associated with asynchronous design methodologies.”

"Sentinel has developed an analog design synthesis technology that will be valuable to our performance-driven PMIC customers," added Pat Dutrow, senior marketing manager of the Cadence Connections program. “We are delighted to have Sentinel as a Connections member.”

Sentinel’s PCS is available deployed within Cadence IC5 or IC6 releases.
