austriamicrosystems currently sees no impact on delivery schedules to Japan

UNTERPREMSTAETTEN, AUSTRIA: austriamicrosystems is shocked by the recent tragic events in Japan and extends its deepest sympathies to those affected and their families. All austriamicrosystems employees in Japan and their families are safe and accounted for.

austriamicrosystems has neither production activities nor subcontractors in Japan. All our wafer production, test and assembly partner facilities are located outside of Japan. Therefore, austriamicrosystems sees no immediate impact on its wafer production, assembly and test services from the recent events in Japan.

austriamicrosystems has established a task force to evaluate the supply chain situation and is constantly and intensively in contact with its suppliers, customers and supply chain partners to assess and verify any potential impact on its supply chain. Detailed analysis shows that inventories and scheduled deliveries of the raw materials and other supplies listed below cover production needs for the coming months:

* Direct materials such as raw wafers,
* Indirect materials such as wafer fab auxiliaries, consumables and backend materials,
* spare parts.

austriamicrosystems sources the vast majority of its raw wafer needs from suppliers outside of Japan and currently sees no specific impact on its wafer sourcing plans.

Customers with specific questions on their products’ status are requested to contact their sales representative who will be glad to provide assistance. The compamy will provide further updates on the supply chain situation as new information becomes available.

austriamicrosystems currently sees no delivery issues in meeting customer obligations due to the recent events in Japan. Our thoughts continue to be with the people of Japan.
