FiberHome selects Siverge Networks' Griffin chip solution for next gen networking solutions

HERZLIYA, ISRAEL: Siverge Networks, a leading supplier of advanced networking solutions, announced that its Griffin flagship product has been selected by FiberHome Communications, a leading Chinese supplier of telecommunications equipment and network solutions.

FiberHome will be using the Griffin chips for multiple solutions and services, including fiber-optic communication, data networking and wireless communication. FiberHome has been a leading provider of optical communications in China for more than 30 years.

“FiberHome selected the Griffin chip solution by Siverge Networks for multi-service applications,” said Fan, vice general manager of the Optical Network Product Division at FiberHome.

“Siverge’s Griffin chip provides a powerful and low-cost solution that we are incorporating in our existing products, as well as new products to be introduced later this year, all of which will be rolled out to our customer base around the world.”

“The unique option of using a wide range of speed and functionality for different systems, along with a single unified hardware design, provides FiberHome unparalleled time-to-market for customer deployments,” said Nimrod Gindi, vice president of sales for EMEA and APAC at Siverge Networks.

“FiberHome Technologies is known internationally for its compliance to international quality standards and excellence in engineering services. The partnership between Siverge and FiberHome continues this leadership for next generation networks.”

The Griffin family of chip solutions dramatically increases the performance and decreases the cost of networking infrastructure, enabling customers to collapse different systems and line-cards into a single designed card, performing all the necessary transport and aggregation functions needed to create a bridge between legacy and new services and networks.
