AMIMON surpasses half a million units in chipset sales and orders

SANTA CLARA, USA: AMIMON, the market leader in wireless HDTV semiconductor solutions, announced that it has surpassed half a million units in chipset sales and orders. AMIMON has been experiencing very strong and rapidly growing demand for its wireless 1080p WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) chipset.

With a very strong first quarter and multiple new WHDI products to be launched in the next few months, AMIMON is on track to crossing the one million chipset sales milestone by Holiday Season of this year. AMIMON’s chipsets have been shipping in volume to leading CE manufacturers selling AMIMON-based products in the US, Europe, China and Japan.

CE manufacturers have developed numerous and various wireless products based on AMIMON’s technology: wireless HDTVs, PC-to-TV wireless adapters, video accessories (dongles, HD video switches), medical device equipment, Pro-AV video cameras, etc. Some of AMIMON’s customers include: ASUS, Brite-View, Gefen, Haier, Hisense, IDX, LG, Mitsubishi, Philips, Sharp, SONY, Stryker and Zinwell.

The bulk of AMIMON’s sales have been of its 2nd generation chipset. AMIMON’s 2nd generation chipset is built to the WHDI standard; key features of the WHDI standard are:
