Hitachi Server chooses Mindspeed for PCI Express signal conditioning

NEWPORT BEACH, USA: Mindspeed Technologies Inc., a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, announced that Hitachi Ltd, a leading global electronics company, has selected Mindspeed’s M21452 to help manage signal integrity in its BladeSymphony 2000 line of servers.

The M21452 a is low-power, 8 x 8 redriving crosspoint switch that minimizes jitter using a combination of advanced equalizing receivers and drivers with de-emphasis. These features enable the development of multi-gigabit channels across the most demanding backplanes. The device is packaged in a 10 x 10 mm QFN and can run off of a single 1.2V supply.
