Virage Logic inks deal with IDT to provide its Sonic Focus software on PC codecs

LAS VEGAS, USA: Virage Logic Corp., the semiconductor industry's trusted IP partner, announced a partnership with Integrated Device Technology Inc., a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience.

Under the terms of the agreement, Virage Logic will offer its Sonic Focus suite of audio enrichment software on the IDT codecs sold to PC manufacturers worldwide. This includes the new 92HD89X Power Smart audio codecs, announced in September 2009, designed to meet the audio demands of today's business and consumer desktops. IDT, the second largest supplier of audio codecs to the worldwide PC industry, will market and support Virage Logic’s Sonic Focus audio software to their PC OEMs.
