Analog Bits IP shipping in Microsemi's SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs

USA: Analog Bits, a leading supplier of clocking and interconnect IP (Intellectual Property), disclosed an important design win with Microsemi Corp., a leading provider of semiconductor solutions differentiated by power, security, reliability and performance.

Microsemi is now shipping its line of SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs with Analog Bits' highly differentiated Multi-Gigabit Serdes IP products. SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs are designed for applications requiring low power, robust security and high reliability. The Analog Bits Serdes IP provides support for SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs in applications requiring PCI Express Gen1/Gen2, 1G/10G Ethernet, JESD204b and many other popular high-speed serial interfaces.

"We are pleased to have Microsemi join our growing list of Tier 1 customers," declared Mahesh Tirupattur, executive VP, Analog Bits. "The company's SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs offer a breakthrough solution for industrial, military, aviation, communications and medical applications. We are honored that our unique Serdes IP products were selected to increase Microsemi's product differentiation while reducing silicon power."

Paul Ekas, VP of Marketing at Microsemi, said: "Working with Analog Bits has been a great experience for us. Among multiple vendors of transceivers, their solution offered the smallest size and lowest power at 5.0Gbps, and their focus on quality helped enable our first time silicon success for SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs."
