National Instruments expands "R&D" operations in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: National Instruments (NI), a technology pioneer and leader in Graphical System Design announced the launch of its new Research & Development facility at its India centre in Bangalore.

The new center will allow National Instruments to efficiently provide strategic and operational support and services for its growing clients.

The new NI facility is equipped with best-in-class product development infrastructure
and employee workspace to provide the tools and environment required for efficient product innovation and R&D.

As part of the strategic growth, NI will hire new talents and take on more work in the areas of product development in NI’s core products such as LabVIEW, RF and Vision to the new Bangalore center. This will help in driving product development with sufficient room for growth over the next three years.

Jayram Pillai, Managing Director, National Instruments, said: “India is emerging as a huge market for our operations. With an engineering and professional services team already in place, our focus is to meet strategic business goals. This has begun to yield results and we have decided to further strengthen the R&D team here with an investment in physical infrastructure and human resources.”

In addition the new facility will also focus on filing patents in the field of Motion Control algorithms, RF and software development. India R&D has received over seven patents for innovations in the area of Motion Control algorithms, RF and software development.

National Instrument’s R&D operations in India have seen tremendous growth over the past four years. This growth is both in terms of fresh talent and the number of strategic product development activities that the center is involved in. Algorithm development and Software Test will be key areas of growth for R&D in Bangalore.
