SAN JOSE, USA: The EDA Consortium (EDAC) is seeking nominations for the Board of Directors for the two-year term beginning April 15, 2010.
Voting member companies are entitled to nominate their CEO, president or COO to serve on the consortium's Board of Directors. Nine of the nominees will be elected to serve a two-year term on the EDA Consortium Board, beginning in April 15, 2010. A list of voting member companies is available at http://www.edac.org/about_members.jsp. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at 5 p.m. PST.
“These are challenging times, and many of the issues faced by the industry, such as software piracy, interoperability and export regulations, among other topics, affect all our members,” said Bob Gardner, executive director of the EDA Consortium. “The EDA Consortium provides a forum for EDA companies to address these issues of common concern, where resolving them as a group is beneficial to EDA companies and customers.”
The EDA Consortium committees, consisting of experts from EDAC member companies, are charged with investigating common issues and reporting to the board on a regular basis. The collective experience of the board members helps direct the committee activities towards beneficial solutions.
The EDA Consortium also represents the interests of EDA vendors at the Design Automation Conference (DAC), and the Design, Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) conference, in addition to publishing the industrys quarterly Market Statistics Service (MSS) report, a detailed report of revenue in the EDA/IP industry broken out by tool category and geographic region.
Nomination forms, candidate statement forms and additional details are available on the EDAC website.
