MDA joins Si2 and OpenAccess Coalition

AUSTIN, USA: Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) announced that Mephisto Design Automation (MDA), a leading EDA tool innovator in the space of analog, mixed-signal and custom-digital design, has joined Si2 and its OpenAccess Coalition (OAC).

“It is MDA’s policy to provide our customers with innovative solutions based on open standards and tools,” stated Kenneth Francken, CEO of MDA. “Interoperability is a key issue, especially in mixed-vendor tool flows. By contributing to OpenAccess, MDA is able to provide an efficient and performant technical solution to the current and future interoperability requirements of its customers.”

MDA's primary product, M-DESIGN, is a flexible and advanced analog and mixed-signal design platform for setting up and executing (complex) interactive simulations, verifications, optimizations and process migrations.

“We are very pleased to welcome MDA into Si2 and the OpenAccess Coalition, joining other industry leaders to provide true interoperability in EDA design flows,” said Steve Schulz, president and CEO, Si2. “The OpenAccess Coalition is entering an exciting year where we anticipate upcoming extensions of the OpenAccess platform in such areas as new technology constraints and an enhanced architecture for multiple scripting languages, to name just a couple.”
