LucidLogix Virtu validated AMD Radeon HD 6000 series GPUs to work with Intel core processor graphics

KFAR NETTER, ISRAEL: LucidLogix announced that its Virtu GPU virtualization solution has been validated to work seamlessly with the new AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series GPUs.

Virtu for desktops, which complements AMDs Switchable Graphics technology for notebooks, allows Intel H67 and Z68 desktop systems to simultaneously take full advantage of the low-power media processing features of the 2nd generation Intel Core processor graphics and the 3D gaming, multi-GPU and multi-display benefits of AMD Radeon HD 6000 series of discrete add-in cards.

Virtu’s GPU Virtualization technology provides desktop users with a seamless, smooth media and DirectX 11 3D gaming and graphics experience, while also allowing the use of multiple displays with AMD Eyefinity Technology and multiple GPUs with AMD CrossFireX. Virtu is a powerful and flexible vendor-agnostic desktop solution that enables a system’s display to be connected either to onboard graphics or to the discrete GPU.

“The AMD Radeon HD 6000 series is an excellent complement to the Intel media features such as QuickSync,” said Offir Remez, co-founder and president of Lucid. “Pre-validating vendors HW and drivers represent another step towards a robust ultimate, no-compromise entertainment experience.”

Lucid Virtu provides an important improvement for media and gaming PC users. Until now, once a discrete GPU was attached to a desktop computer, the integrated GPU became inaccessible. Now with Lucid’s Virtu, it is possible to run one or two discrete AMD GPUs and still utilize the Intel Quick Sync performance and lower power of the Intel HD graphics in the 2nd generation Intel Core processor.

Virtu is the only solution for GPU virtualization on Intel Sandy Bridge desktops equipped with AMD discrete GPUs.
