NXP Semiconductors teams with SupplyFrame Media to promote new iPhone app

SINGAPORE: NXP Semiconductors N.V. and SupplyFrame Inc. have launched an online campaign promoting the NXP iPhone application.

NXP is the first semiconductor company to introduce a complete portfolio product selector application for the iPhone. The mobile phone application allows users to access NXP product information and support more easily and faster than ever before. SupplyFrame Media’s global reach to nearly three million online engineers and buyers is aligned with the target users of the new iPhone app.

NXP’s free application allows engineers to search, buy and share more than 10,000 product parts from the NXP High Performance Mixed Signal and Standard Products portfolio anytime, anywhere.

“SupplyFrame Media has the ability to reach out to the online engineering audience we want to engage with our new iPhone application,” said Sander Arts, VP Marketing and Communications, NXP Semiconductors. “This activity with SupplyFrame fits perfectly with our integrated marketing approach and our commitment to make information and data available to engineers whenever they want it.”

“We reach a large, technical community of electronics designers, many of whom are adopting smart phones. The number of visitors accessing our sites using mobile phones was up 50% in just the last 6 months,” said John Schirmer, VP of Worldwide Sales at SupplyFrame. “We’re happy to help NXP grab a foothold in this new marketing channel.”

The application, simply called NXP, is free and available for immediate download at the Apple App Store and iTunes. The NXP app is compatible with the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
