mSilica expands strategic partnership with Vanguard for next gen BCD and HV processes

SANTA CLARA, USA: mSilica, a smart LED driver IC provider for backlighting LCD-TV, notebook, and solid-state lighting has proudly selected Vanguard International Semiconductor Corp. (VIS) in Taiwan as one of its principal foundries for semiconductor wafer manufacturing. VIS provides customer specific BCD and HV processes for mSilica’s design needs and is continuously supporting new process features.

“Having a foundry partner like VIS enables mSilica to bring state-of-the-art LED drivers to its end market. The VIS high voltage BCD processes allow mSilica to significantly differentiate its architecture and gives unmatched degrees of freedom when designing power, precision and algorithmic circuits.

“The highly integrated LED driver ICs we are now shipping to mSilica were processed by our specialized BCD process.
