Genmark’s 'SortMax' wafer-sorter product line expanded

SEMICON West 2010, SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Genmark Automation Inc., a global leader in tool and factory automation solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry, announced the expansion of the SortMax wafer-sorter product line.

The latest wafer-sorter product model, the SortMax300 HT, now offers highly improved functionality, reliability and throughput. Its expanded features include faster dual end-effector wafer transfer mechanisms and dual-stage wafer aligner module to achieve the highest throughput in modular equipment configurations and supporting up to 8 FOUP/FOSB devices.

The highly sophisticated software suite has been expanded to include built-in support for the latest fab requirements, and also includes “auto-teach” scripts, further simplifying the wafer-handler teaching process, optimizing operator interface and reducing downtime during maintenance periods.

“The introduction of our newest wafer sorter product, the SortMax300 HT, reflects our dedication and on-going commitment to the continuous development of industrial automation technologies,” said Shaun Enferadi, Director of Sales at Genmark Automation. “It shows our customers that we are producing leading-edge and top quality wafer handling equipment covering all steps from design and development, to manufacturing, installation and after-sales support.”
