Semicon industry leaders to discuss complex software and silicon challenges

SAN JOSE, USA: The EDA Consortium (EDAC) will host a panel discussion at its annual Spring Members Meeting on April 15, 2010, to discuss the synergies between the EDA, IP and embedded software industries.

The panel, which includes leading technologists from embedded software companies, will explore “Solving the Software and Silicon Complexity Challenge.” Participants include:

Panelists
* Jim Ready, chief technology officer, MontaVista Software.
* Jack Greenbaum, director of engineering for advanced products, Green Hills Software.
* Tomas Evensen, chief technology officer, Wind River.

Moderator
* John Bruggeman, chief marketing officer, Cadence Design Systems.

"As the semiconductor industry faces progressively complex demands, they are turning to EDA and Embedded Software providers to help address their growing software requirements," said Robert Gardner, executive director of EDAC.

"This panel discussion will open the dialogue on ways we can work together and address our mutual customers’ critical needs."
