CAMARILLO, USA: Semtech Corp., a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, has been named one of the Fastest Growing Companies on California’s Central Coast in an annual listing compiled by the Pacific Coast Business Times newspaper.

According to the publication, the award recognizes companies in the tri-county area that demonstrate an ability to rapidly reach a sustainable level of revenues while also maintaining fast growth.

The newspaper measured revenue growth from 2008 to 2010, a period in which Semtech’s revenues grew 54.2 percent from $294.8 million to $454.5 million. In an accompanying feature story on Semtech, the newspaper’s editors attribute the success to the company’s long-term market strategy.

“Semtech continues to be one of the fastest growing diversified analog companies in the industry. Our extraordinary success in such areas as product innovation and overall financial performance are a result of the hard work by all Semtech employees globally. In addition, our personal commitment to our partners and our communities are critical components to the company’s future growth,” said Mohan Maheswaran, Semtech CEO.

“I attribute the company’s success to excellent execution by the entire Semtech team and to our focus on long term secular trends. These trends include Increasing Systems Bandwidth, Greener and more Efficient electronics and the Miniaturization of Electronics Systems.”
