Mentor Graphics focuses on Brazil PCB electronics design industry

WILSONVILLE, USA: Mentor Graphics Corp. announced the delivery of a specialized version of the PADS PCB design product suite in the Portuguese language specifically targeted at the Brazil electronics industry.

This version will enable Portuguese-speaking designers to more efficiently design their complex printed circuit boards and get more competitive products to market faster. The development and release of this product suite emphasizes Mentor’s commitment to the rapidly growing Brazil electronics industry and their need for more advanced PCB design software.

“We view the Brazil market as a significant opportunity for Mentor’s PCB systems design and analysis products,” stated Henry Potts, VP and GM, Systems Design Division of Mentor Graphics. “The Brazil electronics design industry of small to mid-sized companies is a perfect match for our PADS product line which enables designers to implement their complex and advanced systems in an easy-to-learn-and-use environment.”

The specialized version will have all menus, dialog boxes and the PADS Evaluation Guide in Portuguese. The PADS PCB design suite is well known for its ease-of-use and ease-of-deployment. Providing PADS in Portuguese will help Brazilian engineers and PCB designers become more productive faster by taking an unfamiliar language out of the equation.

“As a distributor, we have been selling Mentor’s products for more than 15 years,” stated Caroline Jabur, CEO of Hitech Eletronica, Sao Paulo, Brazil. “This commitment of R&D and support further emphasizes how important the Brazilian market is and will enable us to better meet the needs of our customers.”
