Everspin to present MRAM as enabler of sustainable storage

Flash Memory Summit 2011, CHANDLER, USA: Everspin Technologies, the industry’s first and leading MRAM supplier, will speak at the 6th Annual Flash Memory Summit at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif., on Aug. 9-11. Steffen Hellmold, VP of marketing for Everspin will discuss MRAM’s value proposition for memory and mass storage needs, emerging MRAM applications, and MRAM’s ability to enable sustainable storage and ultimately to evolve today’s system-level architecture.

“Everspin has shipped more than three million MRAM devices since its inception, and now we are gearing up to be the first to commercialize Spin-Torque MRAM,” said Steffen Hellmold, vice president of Marketing for Everspin. “MRAM enables new sustainable storage solutions delivering more performance at lower latencies and greater power efficiency. Its unique instant on/off capability will revolutionize system architectures through a new tier of non-volatile memory.”

Steffen’s presentation, titled “Beyond the Spin Zone”, is part of the MRAM Session panel discussion that is scheduled for 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10. In addition, Steffen also is joining the expert table session titled “New Technologies/MRAM” on Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

“With some of the industry’s biggest memory manufacturers recently getting behind MRAM, we are looking forward to hearing from our panel experts about their respective MRAM programs and progress,” said Alan Niebel, CEO of Web-Feet Research and organizer of the MRAM panel. “Everspin has been the only company commercializing MRAM with an exemplary track record. The race to Spin-Torque MRAM commercialization scaling to Gbits is on and Everspin seems well positioned.”
