Franklin Wireless unveils M600W embedded module

CTIA Enterprise and Applications 2010; SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Franklin Wireless Corp., a leader in dual-mode WiMAX and CDMA modems for 3G and 4G wireless broadband data communications, announced the upcoming market release of its new M600W embedded module.

The M600W is a single-mode (Wimax) embedded module and is expected to be available in October. The M600W features a Mini PCI Express Card form factor, and is designed to be integrated into laptops, netbooks, portable media players (PMP), E-books, tablets and M2M (machine-to-machine) products that operate over WiMAX networks.

"With the ongoing deployment of WiMAX networks around the world, it made sense for Franklin Wireless to develop a WiMAX only embedded module solution," stated OC Kim, president of Franklin Wireless. "The M600W addresses a new and growing market opportunity for our company and is a great addition to our growing portfolio of high speed wireless devices."

The M600W embedded module supports Windows 7, Vista, XP, Linux and Mac OS X.
