BroadLogic signs distributor deal with MetaTech to expand customer support to China and Asia-Pacific regions

SAN JOSE, USA: BroadLogic Network Technologies Inc., a leading supplier of mixed-signal semiconductor solutions for global digital cable TV markets, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with MetaTech (to provide its silicon-based solutions to the China and Asia-Pacific markets.

BroadLogic provides a full range of modulation and demodulation products, including silicon, radio frequency (RF) quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) modules, and reference systems.

MetaTech is an electronic component distributor and representative operating in the Asia Pacific Rim and India with a widespread sales network of 30 offices in Asia – Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and India – and four strategic inventory locations in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shenzhen (China), and Singapore.

It has built strong relationships with the Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) communities. MetaTech’s presence in China, Taiwan, India, and other Asia-Pacific regions provides BroadLogic with a well established local partner to support its customers there.

China, with nearly 400 million TV households, is expected to have more than 100 million digital cable subscribers by 2012. China plans to provide triple-play digital services to most TV households, and its cable TV operators are rapidly consolidating.
