Franklin Wireless intros M600 -- world's first dual-mode 3G/4G embedded module

CTIA Enterprise and Applications 2010; SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Franklin Wireless Corp., a leader in dual-mode WiMAX and CDMA modems for 3G and 4G wireless broadband data communications, has launched its new M600 dual-mode WiMax/CDMA embedded module.

The M600 is the world's first dual-mode embedded module and is expected to be available in October. With its Mini PCI Express Card form factor, this unique embedded module is designed to be integrated into laptops, netbooks, portable media players (PMP), E-books, tablets and M2M (machine-to-machine) products that operate over WiMAX/CDMA networks.

"The new M600 embedded module uses the same technology and operates over the same networks as our U600 USB modem, but addresses a new market opportunity for Franklin Wireless," stated OC Kim, president of Franklin Wireless. "We feel that the M600 will appeal to a broad range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or others who seek a versatile and reliable embedded module solution for their wireless data applications."

The M600 3G/4G embedded module supports Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Linux and Mac OS X.
