Dow Electronic wins SSMC's best supplier award for 2008

SINGAPORE: Dow Electronic Materials has received Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Co.'s (SSMC’s) Best Supplier Award for 2008. This is the third time in five years, and the second consecutive year, that the company has received the best supplier award from SSMC.

Dow, formerly Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, was recognized for its outstanding effort in supplying CMP process support and consumables to SSMC’s manufacturing facility in Singapore. The award was presented during SSMC’s Supplier Day on April 16, 2009.

"Innovation and knowledge on cost excellence methodology will be crucial factors to drive business success nowadays," said Lee On Nam, vice president of SSMC’s Corporate Service Division. "Dow has demonstrated innovative solutions through introduction of new materials and innovative designs that help SSMC to reduce cost of ownership."

Dow received the award based on its performance in SSMC’s supplier rating system, in which materials suppliers are assessed, based on performance, in the areas of technology support, quality, responsiveness, commitment, dependency, logistics and price.

"Receipt of this award two years in a row is a clear indication that our commitment to quality is being maintained at the highest level," said Mario Stanghellini, vice president of marketing for Dow Electronic Materials. "We commend S. H. Chuah and the entire South East Asia team for this accomplishment, which speaks to the quality and consistency of our products and our ability to deliver local service of the highest possible quality."

"Once again, we have demonstrated that we understand and appreciate our position as a collaborative partner to SSMC, and are honored to be recognized for our efforts in supporting them," said S. H. Chuah, managing director of South East Asia for Dow Electronic Materials.
