EVE, DA-IICT (Reliance ADAG Group) to promote hardware emulation-based education in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), part of the Reliance ADAG Group will use hardware emulation platforms from EVE Design Automation Pvt Ltd, a leader in hardware/software co-verification, to teach verification of digital systems at DA-IICT.

Students will have access to EVE’s ZeBu (for 'zero bugs') hardware emulation, installed to coincide with the start of the school session in August, to complete their basic engineering and Master of Science degree coursework. The DA-IICT faculty would like to equip their students with the emulation platform technology because it forms the final component of the digital design verification process.

The educational effort is made possible by a joint venture formed between DA-IICT, Reliance ADAG Group and EVE to give engineering students use of hardware emulation technology to complete their studies.

“This is the first time in India that an emulation system will be used by the student community,” says Montu (Mak) Makadia, EVE Design’s director and country sales manager. “EVE places great importance on training engineering students about the benefits of emulation because it is seen as an essential tool for the design of electronic devices.”

EVE is a leader in hardware/software co-verification solutions, including hardware description language (HDL) acceleration and extremely fast emulation, with installation at eight of the top 10 semiconductor companies.

EVE's products significantly shorten the overall verification cycle of complex integrated circuits and electronic systems designs. They also work in conjunction with popular Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL-based software simulators from Synopsys, Cadence Design Systems and Mentor Graphics.
