Zilog releases new ZMOTION intrusion detection solution for motion sensing apps

MILPITAS, USA & BIEL, SWITZERLAND: Zilog, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IXYS Corporation (NASDAQ:IXYS) and a trusted supplier of application-specific, embedded microcontroller (MCU) system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for industrial, power management and consumer applications, introduced its new intrusion motion sensing.

The silicon is based on Zilog’s high-performance ZMOTION MCUs which incorporate integrated motion detection algorithms with advanced features specifically designed for intrusion detection applications. With this release, Zilog offers three specially-designed intrusion solutions that are combined with a selection of lenses and pyroelectric sensors to fit a range of application requirements in which security is an important factor.

These new intrusion solutions feature optimized configuration parameters for the ZMOTION MCU which are provided with each lens/sensor combination to ensure the best possible performance while significantly reducing development risk/cost and minimizing time to market for customers who develop intrusion-based products.

The worldwide adoption for improved intrusion detection is growing rapidly, especially for security related motion sensing applications. With integrated functions such as White Light Detection and Pet Immunity, the ZMOTION Intrusion Detection Solution is the ideal solution for security applications in which highly stable intrusion detection capability is vital.

Zilog’s ZMOTION Intrusion Detection products are currently in full production and are now available to ship to customers that place orders through its distributors.
