APAC Xilinx Alliance program members align on Targeted Design Platforms

BANGALORE, INDIA: Xilinx Inc. Alliance Program Members are a key component of the FPGA leader’s Targeted Design Platform strategy for enabling customers to spend less time working on applications infrastructure and more time designing unique value into their electronic systems.

With the success of its Asia-Pacific Alliance Partner Day, design service providers and board vendors who work closely with Xilinx in the region are well prepared to enable the success of customers using the newest generations FPGAs.

“Xilinx is the global FPGA leader with more than 20,000 customers worldwide, and we are very glad to be involved with them and their new Targeted Design Platforms,” said President & COO, Co-founder Thomas Wang of Jointwave LLC. “I believe we will be very successful with our H.264 HD codec and video processing solutions based on Xilinx’s high performance Virtex-6 family, as well as previous-generation Virtex devices, and the Spartan-6 family.

“The combination of Xilinx’s cutting edge FPGA technology and our hyper-performance IP Cores fulfills customers’ requirements of highest quality video, such as 1080p@30fps to 120fps, 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 8- to 16-bits, ultra-low latency, lossless quality, AVC Ultra and wide temperature range.”

“E-Elements has been engaged in advanced FPGA design, training and technological consultation services for about eight years as a FPGA design service company and for about 4 years as Xilinx’s Authorized Training Provider (ATP)”, Young Wang, Vice President of E-Elements Technology Co. Ltd said.

“Our company will grow fast together with Xilinx’s continued FPGA innovation. We are very happy to continue our partnership on its leading edge next generation Virtex-6 and Spartan-6 based target design platforms. This no doubt will be another win-win program between our two companies”

Held in Shenzhen on Sep 15, Xilinx Alliance Partner day was attended by nearly 50 ecosystem members from mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, India and Australia. The event offered them an opportunity to align with Xilinx and its Targeted Design Platform Strategy introduced earlier this year with the launch of the 40nm Virtex-6 FPGA and 45nm Spartan-6 FPGA families.

Xilinx Targeted Design Platforms enable designers to quickly start SoC development, evaluate Xilinx technology, and rapidly adapt targeted reference designs to the specific feature requirements of their systems.

“Xilinx has a strong ecosystem in Northern America and Europe, today we are glad to see more and more IP and design services in the APAC region growing rapidly in support of our Targeted Design Platforms,” said Xilinx Senior Vice President Worldwide Marketing and Business Development Vin Ratford.

“As part of our Targeted Design Platform strategy, Xilinx is committed to supporting ecosystem vendors throughout the Asia Pacific region as we work together to deliver new methodologies and development systems for building FPGA-based applications.”
