Trident Microsystems adopts Mentor's Veloce hardware emulator to accelerate time-to-market for next-generation digital TV SoCs

WILSONVILLE, USA: Mentor Graphics Corp. announced that Trident Microsystems, a leader in high-performance semiconductor system solutions for the multimedia and digital television markets, has adopted Mentor’'s Veloce platform for the complete system-level verification of its next-generation digital TV SoC chips.

Trident chose the Veloce platform due to its superior compiler and debug technologies, performance, accuracy, and innovative portfolio of iSolve™ vertical market solutions for the verification of their multimedia-based designs.

“In the fast-moving consumer electronics market, Trident needs to be able to react quickly to market dynamics while minimizing the risks involved in the integration of our next-generation SoCs,” said Saeid Moshkelani, senior vice president of engineering, Trident Microsystems.
