HANGZHOU, CHINA: Broadcom Corp. has announced widespread support for its DOCSIS-based Ethernet over Coax (EoC) for Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) architectures from leading companies including Changhong, Coship, Harmonic, Jiuzhou, Skyworth, Sumavision and ZTE.

This industry support from the top manufacturers and service providers in China demonstrates the momentum toward standardized quality of service (QoS) to ensure a high-quality TV, broadband and telephone experience and to advance China's drive toward network convergence.
