Quantenna joins Global Semiconductor Association

FREMONT, USA: Quantenna Communications Inc., a leader in ultra-reliable Wi-Fi networking for whole-home entertainment, today announced it has joined the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), the global voice for the semiconductor industry.

Quantenna joins the GSA as the only company to offer industry-standard 802.11n chipsets that include the complete range of Full-11N capabilities for ultra-reliable high-definition TV (HDTV) and 1080p video streaming.

Quantenna will be working with other GSA members to make the next generation of home entertainment and data networking applications a reality, using a unique combination of 4x4 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), adaptive transmit digital beamforming technology and wireless channel monitoring and optimization.

“Quantenna is proud to be joining the world’s premier semiconductor industry organization, and as a former board member, I’m personally pleased to be re-connecting with the GSA and its many fine members,” said David French, Quantenna’s CEO. “We intend to play a very active role in helping the GSA continue its mission to foster a robust, growing and profitable worldwide semiconductor ecosystem.”

“We are delighted that Quantenna has joined the GSA,” said Jodi Shelton, GSA president. “We depend on our members to help us advance our goals, and Quantenna brings a valuable combination of insight, innovation and industry-leading technology for a rapidly growing market segment. We look forward to the Quantenna’s contributions in collaboration with our expanding member roster.”
