Microsemi receives DSCC qualification for high power three-phase rectifier bridge module family

IRVINE, USA: Microsemi Corp., a leading manufacturer of high performance analog/mixed signal integrated circuits and high-reliability semiconductors, announced that DSCC qualification has been granted on a family of three hermetically sealed high voltage three-phase bridge rectifier modules used for AC to DC conversion in high reliability power supplies and motor control.

The three modules meet the rugged demands of defense and other high reliability power supply and motor control applications that include next generation military aircraft and army combat systems and motors in pumps, fans, blowers, compressor and servo amplifiers.

The extremely robust package provides an epoxy-filled aluminum casing around four void-less hard glass rectifier elements with tungsten slugs. This extremely robust construction technique provides easy mounting, low thermal resistance and space savings.

"The new DSCC qualifications for our rectifier modules family represents an important addition to Microsemi's portfolio of devices to allow our military customers to build smaller, lighter weight power systems with increased reliability," said Kare Karlsen, Microsemi Executive Vice President of Military and Aerospace Products.

The new DSCC qualifications for Microsemi Part Numbers JANTXM19500/483-01, JANTXM19500/483-02 and JANTXM19500/483-03 cover JANTX specifications for 25 amp applications of 200 V, 400 V and 600 V respectively.
