ACME Portable intros Comrade 700 Super Portable with Intel Core i7 for CUDA parallel programming

AZUSA, USA: Acme Portable Machines, Inc., a leading provider of rugged portable platforms and industrial LCD keyboard drawers, today announced release of a Super Computer portable platform, the Comrade 700. Integrated is the latest Intel Core i7 processor and motherboard with seven PCI-E Gen2 x16 slots for working with CUDA parallel programming.

Featuring three C1060 Tesla cards and a Quadro FX3800 card, the Comrade 700 is the ultimate portable platform for intensive parallel computing on tons of data delivering nearly 4 teraflops per second. It is the best choice to work as a portable supercomputer in the office or in the field.

The system utilizes PCI-E Gen2 x16 slots allows enough I/O interfaces to fulfill most demands for graphics or computing-intensive situations. Comrade 700 is assured of jaw-dropping graphics and parallel computing power at a level previously unseen.

The Comrade 700 Super Portable platform comes with two high-performance SAS drives. SAS hard drives are safer, faster and more reliable for data transfer and storage. Along with the SAS drives, six SATA-3 ports are also available for instant storage upgrade. The Comrade 700 also comes integrated with dual Gb LAN with teaming function, 24GB DDR3 memory, 8-Channel High Definition audio, a 1394a port, and optional Blu-Ray optical drive.

In addition, the Comrade 700 comes standard with a 17-inch, 16:10 LCD displaying 1920x1200 resolution. The display is protected by tempered anti-glare glass. There are also options such as adding touch screen or upgrading to sunlight readable LCD to meet specific applications.

The Comrade product family is designed with rugged construction to meet various harsh environments and for easy customization. Each product has been designed to comply with Mil-Std 810F for shock and vibration, and CE, FCC and CCC for EMI compliance. Physically, the Comrade 700 measures 16.65”W x 13.58”H x 9.05”D and weighs 30 lbs.
